Where Vertical Mobility Meets Global Safety Standards

Well-maintained lifts typically experience 1-2 breakdowns a year, but for high-use commercial systems over 20 years old, failure risks increase significantly to 3-4 breakdowns a year. Mitigating these operational risks requires a commitment to the highest service standards, and we believe that is achieved through the transparency of our safety protocols.
Having recently successfully completed our latest round of external audits, we have aligned our operations with stringent global and local safety standards to ensure our practices are both current and compliant. In this post, we will share the specific outcomes of our ISO certification and bizSAFE audits, demonstrating how these accolades serve as a roadmap for your property’s vertical mobility.
Translating ISO Certification into Everyday Reliability

For many stakeholders, technical lift safety standards may seem abstract until they are tested by a site audit. However, at BELIFT, ISO certification serves as the structural backbone for every vertical mobility solution. Our approach to lift safety is best broken down into these three distinct pillars of protection.
ISO 9001 (Quality Management): ISO 9001 is our commitment to consistency. To earn it, we proved to external experts that our installation and servicing processes followed a rigorous standardised checklist. This systematic approach reduces surprises during lift installation or maintenance, ensuring that the high-quality service you receive on day one is exactly what you get five years down the line.
ISO 14001 (Environmental Management): Obtaining the ISO 14001 certification required a deep-dive into operational processes to ensure resources are utilised optimally. We’ve recently integrated "Climate Action Changes" into our audits, ensuring our servicing methods are sustainable, and that all spare parts or materials are managed with the utmost care for the environment.
ISO 45001 (Health & Safety): As the critical benchmark for safety, obtaining the ISO 45001 certificate required the entire team, from directors to on-site technicians, to undergo in-depth practical evaluations. These comprehensive interviews and site checks ensure that safety protocols are woven directly into our technical workflow.
Through this uncompromising alignment of quality, environment, and safety, we provide the professional certainty that your property’s transport systems are managed to the highest global benchmarks.
The Role Of bizSAFE Star In Strengthening Local Compliance
While ISO certificates provide a technical framework, bizSAFE is the local benchmark that ensures these standards are applied within the context of Singapore. Launched by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council, the bizSAFE accreditation is a guarantee that every risk associated with lift maintenance has been mitigated by a verified expert. The programme is structured through these bizSAFE levels.
Level 1: This initial stage required our top management to attend a dedicated workshop to understand their legal responsibilities and ensure that BELIFT fosters a top-down commitment to a secure working environment.
Level 2: We appointed a designated risk management representative to undergo specialised training to develop a comprehensive technical framework for hazard identification.
Level 3: To achieve Level 3, we had to undergo an independent audit involving physical site verification, where auditors observed our technicians in a live work environment to confirm that our safety protocols are being executed correctly on-site.
Level 4: At this stage, we appointed a WSH auditor to conduct a comprehensive review on our company-wide safety management system, ensuring risk management is consistent across every department and project.
bizSAFE Star: This is the current level maintained by BELIFT. It signifies that BELIFT has achieved ISO 45001 certification, and represents the highest level of safety accreditation.
By attaining the bizSAFE star status, BELIFT ensures that the high-level safety strategies discussed in our offices are the same practices being carried out at your property. This level of certification confirms that we have a fully implemented risk management plan that has been externally validated for its effectiveness.
The Enduring Value of Professional Lift Care
By providing external auditors with full access to our records and personnel for site checks and interviews, we ensure that the technical standards promised in our proposals are rigorously verified against our on-site performance.
This commitment to keeping our operations current and compliant is best captured in the following quote from our team after our most recent successful ISO and bizSAFE audit cycle: "I’ve seen how quality, sustainability, and safety are inseparable on a live project site. Moving from a single focus on ISO 45001 to a triple-certified framework was a strategic decision that improved our operational transparency. We subject ourselves to rigorous scrutiny to deliver a safe, professional experience for every client, large or small".
These behind-the-scenes audits translate into a tangible sense of security and long-term reliability. If you are looking to have highly validated safety frameworks backing your home’s vertical mobility, reach out to our knowledgeable technicians today!
