Why Your Lift Requires Both Global Engineering & Local Accountability To Stay Reliable

In late April, BELIFT organised a strategic meeting, which served as the catalyst to refine how we deliver vertical mobility solutions to the Singapore market. The session brought together our leaders from executive, sales, projects, lift maintenance, modernisation and asset management teams to align our multi-brand ecosystem.

We began by surveying our participants on their perception of KLEEMANN before our branding consultant, KOVA, walked through both BELIFT and KLEEMANN’s positioning to address any concerns. The session concluded with a Q&A where KOVA discussed the specific relationship between BELIFT and KLEEMANN, reiterating to our team that BELIFT remains our clients’ primary point of accountability.

We partner with complementary brands, including Area Lifting, LiftUp, and KLEEMANN, to ensure our recommendations are always tailored to specific architectural and aesthetic needs. While we maintain a diverse portfolio, our recent strategic meeting focused on our collaboration with KLEEMANN to define how our respective roles complement one another. By clarifying these distinct positions, we provide a more comprehensive support structure for the clients we serve.

From Factory Floor to Singapore

The relationship between KLEEMANN and BELIFT is built on a precise handover of expertise across the entire lifecycle of your lift.

KLEEMANN operates as our global manufacturing partner by designing and building the lift hardware. They ensure engineering integrity with their rigorous international manufacturing and testing standards. By the time the hardware reaches Singapore, it has been refined through decades of global industrial application, providing the high-quality mechanical foundation required for a reliable lift installation.

Once the hardware arrives on-site, BELIFT takes full responsibility for its performance and reliability. While KLEEMANN specialises in the production of the system, we take charge of the lift’s installation and long-term maintenance.

We act as the primary point of accountability, ensuring that global engineering meets various site conditions and Singapore’s regulatory demands. This includes the Singaporean standard of SS 550:2020 for safety code compliance and European standards like EN 81-20, EN81-50 and EN 81-21 for lifts in existing buildings. Our work begins where the factory floor ends, providing the after-sales servicing and technical support for daily operational safety after the installation is complete.

This collaboration allows us to offer a global benchmark of engineering supported by a local team with a deep understanding of Singapore’s safety standards. Our work is supported by our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, as well as our bizSAFE Star status.

If you would like to learn what each certification means, read "Making Safety a Reality on Every Project Site". With our verified safety protocol, we safeguard the engineering excellence built at the factory throughout every year of the lift’s operation.

BELIFT Online & Proactive Care

As the primary point of accountability, we extend our stewardship from the physical hardware to a digital ecosystem prioritising transparency and convenience. Launching in Q4 2026, BELIFT Online will serve as a centralised hub providing homeowners and estate managers with real-time visibility into their lift’s health. The platform provides direct access to performance logs and schedule visibility, moving away from fragmented paperwork.

By centralising contract management and closely tracking part lifespans and replacements, you can manage your lift’s health more effectively and avoid the frustration of unexpected downtime or equipment seizures.

With the data from BELIFT Online, we are able to identify technical wear and schedule the replacement of specific components before they impact the daily operation of your home, passenger or goods lift. By combining globally proven engineering with our own digital oversight, we support every home lift upgrading project and new installation we handle.

For a lift to stay reliable, you need established industrial hardware supported by a local partner that is aligned with local regulatory requirements. Our recent strategic meeting and the upcoming launch of BELIFT Online demonstrates our commitment to continuously improving our offerings, while maintaining safety and reliability through our partnerships.
